2. Kielwood shafts are made of torrified maple. Torrified wood heated to very high temperature changing the cellular structure. Torrified wood is more stable and resistant to humidity and temperature changes because the hydroscopic cellulose is sealed and therefore the wood resists to warping. Stiffness, strength, and integrity of the shaft are naturally maintained over time without any additives or chemicals. For playing, lab vibration testing has indicated that torrified maple has clearer tone than regular maple. The shaft is what players look for as a low-deflection shaft than traditional maple shafts. It has a stiffer, firmer hit but with more feel and finesse than a carbon-fiber shaft.
3. For Ferrule material/color, you have 10 different choices (please check out the 2nd image).
4. Pilot depth is 3.30 mm unless you require otherwise.
5. The shaft comes with a weight kit and an allen wrench so that you can adjust its weight.
6. The typical lead time between the order date and the day you receive the shaft is around 30-40 days and can be expedited.
